Due to numerous constituent complaints over the past six months, the mayor and town council have decided to lodge a formal complaint with the United States Post Office concerning an employee at the Little Mountain Post Office. Anyone in our community who has had a problem with a post office employee please let us know by sending or dropping off a written communication about the incident. Problems with the employee(s) include but are not limited to:
- not giving you your mail or packages,
- copying personal information from your driver’s license for unknown reasons and will not tell you why it is being copied or what it will be used for
- demanding identification for non-accountable mail items
- telling you your package is not in the Little Mountain Post Office when you possess a USPS tracking number stating the package is located in the Little Mountain Post Office
- shouting at you,
- cursing at you
- telling you they will not help you because you are “rude”
Please include in your incident report dates and approximate times, your name, and a contact phone number or email. If you wish for your name to not be included in the information furnished to the United State Postal Inspector’s Office or U S Congress staff, please tell us in the letter or email you send. But for your complaint to be included in the report we, mayor and town council, must have your name and contact information. The mayor and town council will not share anyone’s names or contact information. The communications can be emailed to lmpocomplaints@gmail.com or placed in the drop box outside of Derrick Community Center by the double doors.
